Prior to becoming an Attorney, I served in the Army. I was originally commissioned as an Artillery Officer with additional assignments in the Aviation Branch, serving 7 years on active duty, and then 19 years with the Reserve and National Guard before retiring with the rank of Major. It was during my time with the Army that I learned to fly helicopters, which led me to become a civilian helicopter pilot, first in the oil industry, and then in medical evacuation.

It was a combination of my piloting skills and my desire to next pursue a logic-oriented career that prompted me to enter the legal field, and I graduated in 1987 from the DePaul University College of Law in Chicago.

I began my legal career 30 years ago as an Associate Attorney at Williams and Montgomery, LTD in Chicago, where I served as a defense attorney for large insurance companies. I then moved to the Rockford area, where I served as an Assistant Public Defender for Winnebago County. In 1991, I opened my own, independent legal practice, now serving a range of northern Illinois’ legal needs, including consumer rights, family law, appeals, and more.

Not only a knowledgeable attorney, but a wonderful human being. Thank you for everything that you have done for me and my family.

Q.  How much do you charge?

A.  The hourly rate we charge is very competitive with the rates charged by other law offices.

Q.  Do you offer discounts and payment plans?

A.  Yes.  We proudly support veterans, active duty military, union members and all first responders.  We understand what it is like to serve.  We also understand that some people a little time to pay and others need help that they just could not otherwise afford. Feel free to ask.
